My dad came up last week to collect my mom, and it happened to be his birthday. Tweety decided to (start to) make him a card, and asked me to help her write “Dear Grandpa”. I dotted out the letters for her to trace and she dutifully traced them, with the exception of the ‘n’ I drew. She took umbrage at the use of the lower case, preferring the upper case in this instance (reasons for which remain undetermined). She carefully scribbled out the offending letter, dotted her own upper case ‘N’ and traced it for a complete greeting. I had to take a picture of it before filing it away in the circular bin. I have NO idea where she gets such firm adherence to these ideas!

While she is determined to do things Her Way, I am determined to continue posting a picture a day this year. I have succeeded in taking a picture each day and uploading it, but in the past few weeks, the posts haven’t always made it past the “draft” stage. The pictures ARE legit, though, as are the posts, and are appropriately dated. As the medications taper off, I hope to return to my scintillating discourse and unparalleled analysis of What She Shovels.

We also got the standard answer (for us) about Gosling’s lymph nodes. “Not sure what’s going on, we’ll do more tests and wait and see.”

I was out sampling wines for the school’s wine tasting event until 2am last night and didn’t get to bed until 3. I set my alarm clock for 6am and was sewing by 6:30. Unfortunately, the fabric was only 17″ long, not 17.5″ so I didn’t have enough to finish, but I got as much done as I could.

The nice ladies at the shop counted it anyway, though!
