Summer’s End
It was over 100F today (I don’t really want to know how much), and after some carpool mania, we ended up having frozen yogurt with friends and making new ones.

Peanut made herself at home and was uninterested in going back into her home.

Everything is either on sale, or there’s a coupon. The sea of sale tags is endless!
Retail therapy this morning.

It’s like the face painting lady knows her or something…

Our neighbors are starting to speak to us again.

I ignored the pleading at the door for almost 2 hours, then SOMEone went outside with her on the porch and then fed her. I’m hoping she’ll keep the rats outside in check…
She’s about 4 months old and is friendly enough to have let Tweety give her a bath with the hose.
Even I will admit she’s pretty cute.

I bought this fabric in late spring with the intention of making clothes for the kids’ June pictures. Those pictures didn’t happen (yet), and now neither kid wants to wear these, but they’re done! Pretty quick projects, each of them: pillowcase dress for her (right), shorts for him (left). Total: 1 yard fabric with very little waste.

I had every intention of cutting the blocks out today, even sat down several times with the supplies, but was always interrupted. Now that the interruptions are gone, I’m too tired to think.

YAY for insomnia! Woke up at 6:14 and had plenty of time to finish them both.
