Finishing up her snack

Tweety hasn’t really ever been very fond of solid food. She would tolerate it if that was the only option, but just barely. That’s all changed in the past few weeks. Today she and I went to the grocery store for a quart of milk, a loaf of bread and a stick of butter, among other things. She started cranking up and I took a diversion to the bakery. Sadly, they were out of bagels, but a croissant, a banana (for her) and a cup of coffee (for me) fixed that right up. She ate an entire banana, and half a croissant, then came home and had a whole apple. I continue to be confounded how someone so small with the stomach volume smaller than my fist could eat so much.
