Well, I looked at it for a few minutes and then I sent it to Craig and he said he looked at it for about 10 minutes and neither of us has an answer in that short amount of time.
    Will you post the answer?

  2. Trina Says:

Yes, I’ll post the answer tomorrow, to give everyone a chance to look at it. Here’s a hint: It’s not a math problem.

  3. Karen Says:

Glad to see something new on your site. Keep checking and wondering how things are going with you. Guess you’re busy with teaching and such.

  4. tim Says:

    Ok, its tomorrow! :)

  5. Karen Says:

Gee Tim, you get up earlier than we do out here. Keep your shirt on.

  6. athena Says:

The math whiz says 8, or 18 as the last number. the next three numbers, no clue. :)

  7. Trina Says:

8 is not in the sequence, 18 is not the last.

  8. Karen Says:

Well, now we have the answer and I still don’t see or hear the connection. Guess you’ll have to spell it out for me!

  9. tim Says:

well 13 and 30 sound similar and so do 19 and 90…but I don’t hear a connection either.

  10. diane Says:

    I don’t know either, but I can’t say I’m not a little annoyed.

So, after sitting here, reciting numbers aloud for like two minutes, it dawned on me.
They are the numbers that have only two syllables.

  12. Karen Says:

40 50 60 are numbers with only two syllables; that must not be it.

  13. phil Says:

Ah ha! That was my argument at first as well. Note the wording of the original question: “the next three” and “final”. Never once implying that there weren’t number in between. =)

  14. Trina Says:

    Gold Star for Phil :)

  15. Karen Says:

Yes, Gold Star for Phil. I had neglected to go back and read the original question.
