Hip Hip Hooray!

The conversation you don’t want to have with your mother over a project you’ve been working on on and off for 4 years:
“This yarn is really difficult to work with, how do you do it?”
[demonstrate]
“Oh, ok… What stitch is that you’re doing?”
“Uhhh, single crochet.”
“That’s not a single crochet.”

Turns out that in my in-depth research of joining, I hadn’t actually read the “stitch” portion of the books for comprehension. Now that I’m doing the stitch right, the joining is much easier :) I’ve finished the first roll of nylon and even managed to find the second! Here’s some pictures of the work in progress.

Ah, the dreaded “that’s not ‘the stitch’” conversation.
Glad to hear you’re making progress. Now where are those progress pictures you mentioned?

  2. Trina Says:

The picture on the right (there’s a picture on the right, isn’t there?) links to the two pictures I’ve taken. The other one is a picture of the seam side.

I think I’m missing something. I don’t see a picture on the right. I’m supposed to be looking at an actual thumbnail that links?

  4. diane Says:

    I don’t see any pictures either…

    Crappity crap crap crap.
[clickity clackity clack] Ok, Mozilla was fixing my broken html for me, but IE didn’t. Should be fixed now.

Yay! I’m glad you finally got it working! ;) hehe, funny how things look so much better we get the stitch right! I’m going to need help with my knitt hat project (I know, I know…so simple, so easy! well blah!) :) after this weekend though, I’s gotsta work on my Flash project that’s due Monday! yikes!
