I carry a shoulder bag thing with my phone, wallet, keys, etc and just plopped the roll of nylon in there with the tail coming out through a gap in the zipper. I’m always taking my crochet to lunch to work on it before the food arrives.
There’s a spreadsheet for us to all fill out how much we do on a daily basis. It’s largely on the honor system, but we trust each other. I have to say, I liked Tim’s theory better, though

That is why I love crochet! See and making purses is handy because you can keep the roll of nylon in the purse your working on! I had to stop taking my stuff to work on over lunch. People (my male coworkers) would give me looks when I busted it out, like at the thai buffet!

She is apparently keeping track of the most exercise by leaving a trail of yarn wherever she goes and measuring the length of the strand.
Which also solves the “Where was the ball of nylon” question.

Wow, now that’s talent. Where was the ball of nylon you were using while you were walking? How are you keeping track of the most exercise?
Too bad you didn’t see what caused the driver to be so irate. It may have been much more interesting with the whole story.
