What She Shovels

In other news, we went to see a movie tonight. In a theater. Some people will recognize this for the miracle it is. The last time we went to see a movie together in the theater was either Finding Nemo or the second Lord of the Rings movie. The last time just the two of us went to see a movie together… well, let’s not try and remember that – it’s been a number of years.
We saw “50 First Dates.” I wasn’t in charge of picking the movie, but someone else was taking me out for a movie, who was I to argue? An Academy Award winner, it’s not, but a good flick nonetheless. It’s kind of a cross between Wedding Singer and Memento. I liked it; a feel-good movie without being all sunshine and roses, and the end wasn’t neatly wrapped up with pretty little bows.
I’d see it again, and would probably buy the DVD on sale.
