Shiny and New
After many hours of reinventing the wheel, I looked at the box from another angle and it all became clear. This upgraded, updated site is now mostly functional, and as I figure out how I want to manage it, I’ll make more things work (notably the links on the left, etc). With the magic of MT, you can now post comments and they will automagically appear instantly! (Cue 1950′s Better Living Through Chemistry commercial)
Some things left to iron out that I don’t know how to do:
- Create new posts without the web interface, using the text editor of my choice (yes, I know, I could use what I wanted and copy it in here, but I’d rather not)
Format the body of the posts and the comments to my specifications (the spacing is weird and the font and color are not my first choice)- The archives. I think I can figure it out once I decide what I want to do, I just have to do that part. I’m also not sure how to get it to display posts other than “most recent n” (ie all post in the last calendar month or similar)
- PS I don’t like this list, either.
Keep this space tuned for updates, comments, discussion and there’s rumor of a new site design coming soon!

So, my comments about your fridge must have disappeared into the ether along with the commentary section it was supposed to post in. But this new post window is VERY nice. I will keep watching for updates and improvements. Keep up the good work.

The previous comments were emailed to me, which meant they were posted when I got around to copying them in and formatting them. This automagic is much better
I’ve posted some now…

I like it. I would help you with your list, but I don’t exactly know why or how to do what you want:) Work it baby! yeah!
Have fun!

oh yeah, I do know how to help with style, you just change it in the stylesheet. (get there by using the MT web interface, and for all that I do just copy and paste into my own editor and then paste it back in) Also, the archive thing, it is just WAY easier to post your entries with they’re system, cut and paste if you have to, but when you save it, it automaticly gets sent to the database and automaticly in your archives. the display for that can be changed…but I forget where at the moment, I monkey with that all the time! I’ll get back to you.
sorry this is so long. I just LOOOOOVOVVVVVEEEEEE using your NEW SPARKALY SPECTACULAR comments MODULE!

Well, I figured out why the bodies weren’t formatted correctly. It turns out you have to put font tags in the right places to do that
