I'm not in tornado alley like Maddy, but we get warnings and watches enough that... when you get one, and they say seek interior spaces, you move three feet from the window.
But you're having typical hot and humid weather patterns - where it storms each night. ;) All the joys of the Midwest, sans Cold White Stuff.
I don't really have anything else to say, but I'm trying not to do work.

Tim:
Yeah. I had the test on Thursday and was supposed to go into the clinic on Sunday to "have it read real quick." I ended up being sent to the hospital and spent the afternoon wading through the process of getting x-rays. Fun stuff. I guess if I was turberculoid, they'd've called. I guess this also means I get to look forward to a lifetime of chest x-rays.
And how is it that I've seen a few tornados (from afar, grant you) and I live in CA, while you live in Tornado Alley and have yet to see one? I think you need to get out more, Tim ;)
Maddy:
Yeah, community colleges really aren't "geared" toward that level of customer service. I think they just expect you to show up and not ask too many of those Hard Questions about silly admin stuff ;) They also don't seem to have caught up with the whole "Technology Revolution" and they really like to sit down with their students and have heart-to-heart conversations about your life's goals and financial situation. Ugh. I sign up early, take my units and ignore as much of the admin BS I can. I'm sure there are a lot of people who need their hand held like that, but I ain't one of 'em.

I thought about taking some tech classes at my local community college, to get out of this dead-end techie job I'm in now. Two weeks ago I emailed the recommended person to ask about three courses. Today I got a reply, that one of the three they're not offering, and the head of the department is this other guy, so I should email him if I want info. WTF?
We've been alternating between loud thunderstorms and sweltering heat all day. But I live near "tornado alley", so for me it's part of the seasonal change.

Thunderstorms kick ass. I still want to see a tornado before I die. Most people tell me that it's a good possibility. ;)
I also test positive for TB. Have for about 15 years. I probably should have a chest x-ray soon. That's the only way they can test me now.
